The manger is an open box from which cattle and horses feed. It is told in the Bible that Jesus Christ, after his birth, was hidden in a manger for fear of the despotic ruler who threatened to kill Baby Christ. 

Who are the Magi? 

The Magi, in the Bible, refers to the three wise men, thought to be kings, of the East, who followed a star to visit Baby Christ at Bethlehem with valuable presents. Their names are Gasper, Melchior and Balthazar.
